Miracle Ear hearing aids are available nationwide. Are they right for you?

Miracle Ear is a hearing aid franchise consisting of more than 1,200 locations as of 2014. The company expanded into Canada in that same year. It’s owned by Amplifon, an Italian company, that distributes hearing aids throughout the world.

A Miracle Ear hearing aid is often what comes to mind when people think of hearing loss, party because it’s a brand that has been well-known to Americans for decades. In 1948, former Telex Communications (another hearing aid manufacturer) employee Kenneth Dahlberg started manufacturing his own line of hearing devices. They created the first in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid in 1955, and had a unique solar powered model as well. Other innovations included the first the first device to use integrated circuitry and the first programmable hearing aid to make it to market in 1988.

When buying through Miracle Ear cost is a major consideration. Miracle Ear hearing aid prices can range from $1,000 to $10,000. It’s somewhat difficult to determine exactly what Miracle Ear prices are because because the company’s website doesn’t list an official ‘Miracle Ear Price List’ requiring potential customers to visit a franchise office for a sales pitch.

Since the brand is so well-known and part of such a large multinational corporation, Miracle Ear reviews are plentiful online. While reviews of Miracle Ear hearing aid models like the Genius and ME are pretty good overall, there are some negative reviews to be found on the site ConsumerAffairs.com.
